10.18 - Underwood Family Farms

About an hour from our house is the closest thing to a real pumpkin patch around.  We went with a really large group from our ward and had a blast.  Hadley loved being able to run free, haul around the pumpkins (multiple times I found different little pumpkins in the seat of the stroller), see all of the animals, AND ride on a pony!  Maybe Grandpa B. should give a certain little girl a ride on a REAL horse when we come home at Thanksgiving.*Hint *Hint....

10.23 - Sim Soot

A couple weeks ago {every post begins that way...well maybe not EVERY...some begin, a couple of months ago...} we went to Indio with some friends for a relaxing weekend.  It was a much needed getaway.  One of our friends has access to a time share and the resort we stayed at had an AWESOME swimming pool.  Hadley loved splashing around.  Sadly I only took about 10 pictures and all of them were crap-py!  I had to post this one though, it showed the cute little dress Grandma Karen and Papa Bart sent to her from their cruise way back in July.  I realized I haven't ever taken a picture of her in it!

Yeah, the title to this post really has nothing to do with this post, but I just love the way Hadley says swim suit!

10.20 - Fight On

Kyle was given some tickets to the USC homecoming game.  Since we hadn't been to a game this year, the offer was too good to refuse, so we packed every trick we could think of to keep Hadley entertained and made our way to the Coliseum.  She ate her apple, a sucker, all sorts of other treats, and watched all three episodes of "Minnie"  and then it was half time, haha.  Actually she was really good and when it was determined there was no way USC was going to pull out a win, we left in the 4th quarter.   However, one lesson we did learn is that it is never smart to bring your children and sit in the student section when the opponent's mascot is a duck.  You can only imagine all of the creative rhymes the students came up with to chant.

10.16 - The closest thing to Uncle Mitch we could find

Since we couldn't be with Uncle {Elder} Mitch on his birthday, we took Elder Washburn (one of Mitch's best friends) who is serving in Burbank out to lunch.  It was so fun to see him and crazy that he is that close to us!  Mitch did confess in his last letter that he was a wee bit jealous that Cole got to meet and hold Hadley first.

10.9 - Ba-Lune Festival

While we were in New Mexico for Ezra's baby blessing, we were able to catch one of the last days of the famous balloon festival.  We got up bright and early and headed out to watch all of the balloons (600+) take off.  We found the BEST location to watch.  I am so glad we did it, it was amazing!  Hadley loved it too.  She still loves to look at all of the pictures.  Whenever she sees the computer, she says ba-lune, ba-lune so that we will show her the pictures.  It is pretty cute.

Sorry for the picture overload!

10.7 - How to keep a toddler happy on an airplane

My arm was getting tired of holding the iPhone for her (she couldn't hold it herself because she kept pushing buttons and turning it off).  So I got industrious and stuck it in a zip lock that was in the diaper bag.  It was a very good idea if you ask me!
