12.11 - Santa's early visit

Santa came to our house to deliver a couple of large Christmas presents a couple of days before we left to go home for Christmas.  He brought Hadley the cutest pink kitchen!

12.10 - Val's USC Tour

12.9 - Ellen's TWELVE DAYS!!!

Val and I were audience members on Day 8 of Ellen's Twelve Days of Christmas Giveaways show.  It was soooo much fun.  While I was home for Thanksgiving, we got a call saying that Valerie had been picked for standby tickets to the show.  So she bought a plane ticket a flew down so we could try to be in the show.  We got up a 3 in the morning and went to wait in line.  I know, I know this was my SECOND year in a row going, and I still LOVE my bed that we got last year, thank you Ellen.

Oh, Cindy lou...We happened to be in line next to quite possibly the MOST obnoxious lady EVER.  Maybe if it weren't the middle of the night and maybe if her friend didn't reek of alcohol and maybe if she didn't have to talk to you about 10 inches away from your face, and maybe if she didn't know everything about anything, I might have been more friendly...This picture captures the funniest moment of the night though, the drawstring thingy from her coat got stuck in the bench and it took her a good five minutes to get it out.  Val and I still have a good laugh when we think about it.

We got in!!! We sat right behind Tony the DJ guy, and even had a brief moment on national television! Ellen gave away $1500 to Sears and a bike that day!  We both have had so much fun cashing in our loot.   Can't wait until next year, haha.

12.8 - Botts (Box)

12.5 - Legal

There are fewer milestones a parent looks more forward to than that of the 18 month mark.  FREEDOM! Here is Hadley's on her first legal Sunday in nursery.  My visions of a cute picture in front of the tree wearing her pretty dress on her 18 month birthday were quickly smashed.  But here she is.

12.4 - Ward Party

Three Amigos

 Our little Wise Man

Hadley LOVED Santa this year.  She sat right on his lap and told him everything she was hoping he would bring.  Then kissed him on the cheek and collected her candy cane.  See...

12.4 - Cheeeese

12.4 - Shanell's Baby Shower

I threw a small shower for one of my good friends who lives in our building, Shanell.  We love the Farrs they are so fun to do things with.  Shanell had little baby Reese a few days later.  She is such a doll!
Once again, I am so sad I didn't take any people pictures!

11.27 - Molly's Bridal Shower

While we were home for Thanksgiving, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to throw a shower for Molly.  I am sad that I didn't take any pictures of the actual people.  The table turned out pretty cute though!

11.26 - Donole

One of Hadley's favorite things to do with Grandpa was sit on his lap and watch youtube disney cartoons.  She would grab his hand and drag him in there.

11.26 - Cousins

11.25 - Thanksgiving After Party

For Thanksgiving dinner we went down to my Grandma's house and enjoyed a traditional thanksgiving feast.  My Uncle Alex and Aunt Leslie and their families were also there.  As always, it was good food and good times!  Kyle and I accidentally left our camera down there and somebody had some fun.  I am happy that my cousins consist primarily of teenage girls instead of teenage boys because the picture quality might have been a little different...

perhaps this may be the culprit...

11.25 - Born Performer

Give Hadley a stool and a circle of people and this is what you get...

11.23 - Snow+Angel

We were able to score an amazing deal on plane tickets, so we decided to head to my parent's home for Thanksgiving.  After a few hour delay because of plane mechanical problems earlier in the day, we arrived into Idaho Falls around 10pm--just in time to experience the great Thanksgiving blizzard of 2010. I don't know if it was the snow or the one-armed man manning the baggage, but it took over an hour to get all of our bags. (ok, the person didn't really have one arm, but he moved at about the speed I would assume a one-armed person would.)  After much deciding we determined that it would still be better to try and get to Oakley that night instead of waiting until the morning when there would be more traffic and the possibility of the the roads closing.   Needless to say, it was a long drive, but we made it safe and sound.  We are so glad for the hand-me-down snowsuit we had packed in our suitcase.  Hadley was able to experience the snow to its fullest!
